ACOPELÔ

Associação dos Comerciantes do Pelourinho was born on the 18th of October in 1992 with the objective of not only being an organ for representing the businessmen of Pelourinho, Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, but mainly as as an advocate of a Pelourinho more human, more functional, and more profitable for everyone who lives and works in the area.

The minds and hearts of ACOPELÔ's directors have always been imbued with the desire to renovate and preserve Pelourinho's historical heritage.

Along with this desire and a philosophy that embodies social inclusion is a concern for future generations to understand the legacy of their inheritance from the past.

Acopelô-Mondo

Centro de Pesquisas Linguísticas e Convivência Multicultural (Center for Linguistic Studies and Multicultural Living) was born from the idea of Brazilian professor, Lennar Cunha, to democratize the teaching of foreign languages in the country starting from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.

The capital city of Salvador was the 1st capital of the Republic of Brazil and the capital of the state where the country was discovered.

The school was purposely located in the heart of Salvador's Pelourinho in the historic district.

The location was chosen due to its close proximity to historical sites and interesting architecture.

Whether it is dancing to the sound of our native music, reading the books of Jorge Amado, or studing the struggle of colonial liberation: the school has as its main ambition to bring as many people possible to see our history and regain the pride of being a land unique in the world open to all.
